Support at Home Update | New Start Date of 1 November 2025
The Australian Government has announced that the Support at Home program and the new Aged Care Act 2024 will now begin on 1 November 2025, instead of the original start date of 1 July.
Why Has This Happened?
The decision to delay comes after feedback from aged care providers, advocacy groups, and sector leaders. This additional time will help ensure that aged care services—like those provided by Home Care Assistance Central Coast—have the time and tools to properly prepare, train staff, and support clients through the transition.

• The new Support at Home program will now commence on 1 November 2025
